On our way home after a weekend fishing we saw a border collie obviously hurt next to the highway. We stopped at the next possible point and had a look. It was a beautiful, healthy puppy, but had obviously been run over by a vehicle. Ringing the police we got put on to the turangi vets and even though it was late Sunday afternoon one of the vets came over straight away to pick the poor dog up. Later on that evening we got a phone call from the very delighted dog owners. The vet had given them our details, so they could contact us with the update.
